Stellantis focuses on electromobility at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Here an icon of the Fiat brand presents itself to the public: the new Fiat 500 in the body version 3 + 1 and the (500) RED equipment variant.

CES 2022, from January 5th to 8th in Las Vegas, USA, is the world's most influential technology exhibition. It represents the ideal setting for Stellantis to provide an outlook on the future of electrification, cockpit technology, autonomous driving, and connectivity.

Fiat is reaffirming its role within the Stellantis Group by showing its icon and high-tech model number one in Las Vegas: the new Fiat 500 electric car is prepared for the future and designed for the challenges of electromobility urban environments.

The new Fiat 500 represents a milestone in Fiat's electrification process. The brand's most iconic and popular model is purely electrically powered. Worldwide, the Fiat 500 is the epitome of the Italian car: likable, a design classic, a work of art, and inspiration. In a word: an icon.

The new Fiat 500 electric car was developed and constructed where the historic Fiat 500 had its home since 1957: in the northern Italian city of Turin, where it is currently being produced. As a result, the new Fiat 500 is now the brand's best-selling battery-electric vehicle (BEV). In addition, it is a global model. The Fiat 500 electric car is already available in Europe, Israel, and Brazil, with the market launch in Japan, planned for 2022.

The new Fiat 500 electric car has a range of up to 320 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. As standard, it offers fast charging with up to 85 kW charging current and a high level of operating convenience under the motto "Tech it Easy." It is also the first city car to be equipped with advanced electronic assistance systems for partially automated driving. The three-body variants sedan, a sedan with an additional second door on the passenger side (model 3 + 1), and convertible.

With the fifth generation of the Uconnect infotainment system, the new Fiat 500 electric car is always connected. In addition, the innovative voice recognition system "Hey FIAT" enables comfortable communication with the vehicle; it is activated with the easy-to-remember command "Hey Fiat."

The Fiat 500 3 + 1 electric car is the most versatile model variant. The hallmark is a second door on the passenger side, which makes it easier for passengers, for example, to get onto the rear bench. This additional door blends harmoniously into the sideline without changing the design or dimensions. While the character of a maneuverable city car is retained, the ease of use is increased significantly. Loading bulky items is also more accessible, thanks to the additional door. The center pillar, which separates the front and rear entry in the conventional four-door design, is fully integrated into the back door on the passenger side. By eliminating the B-pillar, there is generous access after opening both doors.

The Fiat (500) RED unique series follows the motto "For the planet. For the people. "The new Fiat (500) RED has a clear mission: protecting the environment and people. It respects the environment and contributes to a more sustainable future as a fully electric vehicle.

This mission is further advanced by the cooperation between Fiat and (RED). The new Fiat (500) RED is not only 100 percent electric and thus contributes to the fight against environmental pollution. It's also an electric vehicle with an ethical message. (RED), the model's namesake, is a charitable organization fighting pandemics for more than 15 years. It was founded by Bono (U2) and the American activist Bobby Shriver. Together with the Jeep and Ram brands, Fiat has committed to donating at least four million dollars to fight pandemics worldwide over the next three years. The new Fiat (500) RED carries this message to the USA at the CES in Las Vegas.
