The Dodger pitcher reported to his manager that he wasn't finished even after going further than any other Dodger pitcher this season, entering the Chase Field dugout with 10 strikeouts in eight scoreless innings. A 4-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks was his first complete game in the Major Leagues. He retired 12 of the 13 players he faced head-on after the third inning, making it difficult for his opponents to score or hit. It was Walker Buehler's first complete game for the Dodgers since Hyun-Jin Ryu in 2019.
