Series production of the Audi e-tron GT electric car is now starting in Böllinger Höfe, Germany. It is not just the driveline in the Audi e-tron GT that is sustainable. The entire production at Audi Böllinger Höfe is carbon neutral. Only green electricity has been used since the beginning of the year. A combined electricity and heating plant, which is powered by biogas, is responsible for the heat required during production.

In addition, important natural resources are preserved, and various raw materials are recycled directly on site. The best example of this is the closed-circuit for aluminium. Thanks to the closed cycle, CO2 emissions are reduced by several thousand tonnes per year by returning the remaining material to the supplier, where it is recycled and then reused at Audi.
