Colruyt Group, a strong advocate of hydrogen technology, will test the first 44-ton hydrogen truck in day-to-day logistics operations. Due to the various operations of the group, the truck will be tested in different cases, including deliveries to stores. While driving, the batteries are charged with electricity generated by hydrogen-fueled fuel cells. The zero-emission vehicle has the advantage of a much longer range than other electric trucks.

The Colruyt and VDL Groep are active partners in the EU Hydrogen Region 2.0 demonstration project, also supported by the EU.
