In 2021, Stellantis NV achieved record results: The newly formed firm, created on January 17th, 2021, has quickly realized merger synergies and achieved significant sales performance - pushed from the start by a clear focus on speedy implementation. Additionally, Stellantis announced ambitious electrification and software goals that year, with over €30 billion in projected expenditures by 2025 and the announcement of strong alliances in battery technology, battery materials, and software development.

In 2021, Stellantis will launch over ten new cars, including the Citroen C4, the Fiat Pulse, the DS 4, the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the Jeep Wagoneer, the Maserati MC20, the Opel Mokka, the Opel Rocks-e, and the Peugeot 308. The firm advanced its commercial momentum in the low-emission vehicle (LEV) segment by entirely using its market-leading portfolio of 34 LEV vehicles, which includes mid-size vans equipped with hydrogen fuel cells. Global LEV sales hit 388,000 units, a 160 percent increase over the previous year, surpassing battery-electric van sales in Europe. Stellantis reaffirmed its leading position in the worldwide commercial vehicle industry by achieving market leadership in Europe and South America and the most significant global pickup sales in history, with around 1 million cars sold.

In North America, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe overtook the Tesla Model S as the best-selling plug-in hybrid electric car in 2021.

Stellantis was the market leader in South America in 2021, with a 22.9 percent market share, and was also the market leader in commercial vehicles, with a 30.9 percent market share.

Stellantis was the market leader in commercial vehicles (EU-30) in broader Europe in 2021, with a 33.7 percent market share. Not only was the Peugeot 208 the best-selling car in Europe, but it was also the best-selling vehicle in the B-SUV sector in 2021.

Consolidated shipments grew 6% in the Middle East and Africa, while market share increased in the most critical regions. In addition, the firm is prepared to debut the all-new Citroen C3 in India and Asia-Pacific. The vehicle was developed and produced in India.

In China, Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile more than doubled its annual sales volume from 2020 to 100,000 units. Stellantis surpassed Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co. Ltd (DPCA) to become the country's fourth-largest Independent After Market (IAM) parts distributor, with a growth of approximately 30% year-over-year sales.

Maserati's global market share increased to 2.4 percent in 2021, while its market shares in North America and China remained stable at 2.9 percent and 2.7 percent, respectively.

Stellantis also took significant steps to bolster its global financing operations, establishing Stellantis Financial Services US Corp in the United States and expanding financing relationships with BNP Paribas Personal Finance, Credit Agricole Consumer Finance, and Santander Consumer Finance in Europe.
